Join BSA in our "Give Cancer the Kick" Campaign

Greetings Boardman Soccer Members,

What a wonderful kick off weekend.  It seems like everything went very well.  As I mentioned earlier Boardman Soccer has a lot of events planned this year.  One event I want to mention now is Boardman Soccer’s “Give Cancer the Kick” weekend, October 1st and 2nd. 

Boardman Soccer has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to raise awareness of this terrible disease and raise funds to fight it.  During this “Give Cancer the Kick” weekend all the players will get special t-shirts to wear for their games.  We have given the coaches three colors to choose from; Black, White and Pink.  Players will also get Pink Bracelets to wear (After their game).  We will also be selling Pink Tie die shirts for parents to show their support.  You can preorder them for $15 with your team order.  They will be $20 at the fields.  You can see the t-shirt hanging up at the shed. 

Boardman Soccer is hoping to have all our players assist us in this fight.  We are asking all our players to raise over $10 in donations.  Boardman Soccer is also seeking Corporate sponsors, attached is a Sponsor form.

Some details about this “Give Cancer the Kick” event are still being planned.  If any of our members would like to help with this event please let me know.  Some other ideas we have planned are a coaches, referee Dunk tank.  I think we all have in mind a few referee’s we would like to dunk.  We will also have Cancer kickers at our fields and parking lot collecting donations of loose change.  Can you think of any better way to use the spare change in your car ashtray?

We will also have members from the American Cancer Society present at our fields with information, along with the mammogram van.  It is our hope all our female guest will be able to schedule a mammogram in the future. 

It is Boardman Soccer Associations hope to unite our community through soccer.  To raise awareness of this disease and to celebrate those who have won their fight, Give hope to those still fighting and Remember those we have lost.
